Witherup Allen Law was proud to unveil a gorgeous new mural on the wall
Last week Witherup Allen Law was proud to unveil a gorgeous new mural on the wall of our office. It depicts a large flag map of the Americas, as well as blow-ups of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras – a recognition that this is where most of our Immigration Law clients hail from. There is also an inset that includes all of Central America, Mexico, South Florida, the Caribbean, Colombia, and Venezuela. The mural is also representative of our Firm’s environmental practice. It depicts a turtle to mark Galapagos Islands, one of the most studied environmental research sites in the world. In addition, to acknowledge we are part of a larger, diverse environment, the mural includes a small sampling of some of the species typical to the areas shown, including the torogoz (the national bird of El Salvador) and the Puerto Rican green parrot. The capybara — world’s largest rodent – also makes an appearance. Every animal has a story and a reason why it is there.
The artist is Madeline Rose Tindall. She holds degrees in Biology and Theater from the University of Maryland. She is a brilliant visual artist who, in this mural, brings together her encyclopedic knowledge of biology, her love of animals, her grasp of color and shape to the finest detail, her precision and patience with paint and brush, and her hyper-focused attention to detail.
Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate, and a special thanks to classical guitarist Andres Felipe Palacios for providing such beautiful music for the event!
Next time you are in Burtonsville, stop by our office for a visit and see the mural for yourself! 😍
