One area of law that cuts across every business industry is Employment Law. Any business that has employees needs experienced employment counsel to help them navigate the federal, State, and local employment laws that govern them. Witherup Allen Law’s attorneys have represented small, medium and large companies in a variety of industries in connection with employment disputes, including employment discrimination, harassment, whistleblower/retaliation cases, overtime cases, wage cases, family & medical leave issues, non-compete agreements, trade secret misappropriation, works made for hire, employment agreements, severance/separation agreements and general labor and employment matters. We also represent plaintiffs who feel their employment rights have been violated.
Witherup Allen Law’s employment law experience dates back to 1997, when Attorney Roberto Allen joined Kollman & Saucier, P.A. as an Associate working on management-side Employment Law issues. Mr. Allen has continued his Employment Law practice through his career. From 2003-2007 and again from 2014 to 2021, Mr. Allen was a Commissioner on the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, a Senate-confirmed gubernatorial appointment to the State-level agency that oversees employment and housing discrimination and other civil rights matters for Marylanders. Mr. Allen served as Vice Chairman of the Commission from 2019-2021.
