Immigration Law

America was built from the dreams of immigrants. Yet immigrants face enormous challenges when they arrive in the United States, to a country with a different language, different customs, and perplexing immigration laws. The attorneys at Witherup Allen Law can help you navigate the often turbulent waters of immigration. We have represented clients in deportation proceedings in Immigration Court, asylum cases, Immigration Bond proceedings, Cancellation of Removal, Family-based petitions, Adjustment of Status, Provisional Waivers, U-visa for victims of serious crimes, and we are especially proud to represent our clients in the Citizenship/Naturalization process, where we help them to become United States citizens. We have developed a niche practice representing minors who have been abandoned, abused or neglected by one or both parents, turning those serious personal tragedies into a path to citizenship by way of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. Our clients come mainly from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. We have also represented clients from South America, Europe, Africa and Iceland.

The firm’s passion for immigration law emerged from the personal history of Attorney Roberto Allen — a first generation American whose parents and older siblings immigrated to the United States from Cuba in 1960 fleeing political persecution. Growing up in an immigrant household gives Mr. Allen a unique perspective on the challenges and hurdles faced by individuals who are trying to enter and work in this country legally. Indeed, the prospect of helping immigrants solve these complex legal problems was one of the major reasons why Mr. Allen pursued a legal career. A native Spanish speaker who is also fluent in French, Mr. Allen puts his language skills and legal experience to work for you.
